So what does stroller maker Peg Perego have planned
for 2006? Read it here.
Peg Perego is among the country’s best selling
stroller brands, despite a slump in the past few years that has seen the company
launch few new hits.
Case in point:
Perego has no 3 wheel stroller with a turnable front wheel, the new hot category
populated by Valco, Mountain Buggy and
others.
To remedy that, Perego will debut
a new stroller the GT3 (see pics below). The GT3 (also to be known as the Grand
Toursimo) will half inflated tires, a turnable front wheel that locks and will
fit Peg’s infant seat. One unique feature: the GT3 will have an adjustable
suspension. The price, which includes a boot and rain cover, will be $550 and
weigh 28 pounds. Look for it in February 2006. Here are 2

Also new for 2006: the Pliko Lite.
Basically, this will be just like the Pliko P3, but omit the arm rest, front
tray and as a result, weigh about 14 lbs. It will sell for $230 and be out in
January.
Peg
will give the tandem market another try with a re-designed Duette stroller for
$550. This will be the first tandem to feature a steering wheel, addressing the
complaint that many parents find these strollers hard to maneuver when fully
loaded. It will also hold TWO infant car seats—you have to remove the stroller
seats to lock in the infant seats. The seats can face in or out. The Duette will
weigh 32 lbs. Here are some pics:
No other changes to the line for 2006:
the Pliko P3 and Aria will stay the same.
