Stork Craft, say several readers, who have learned of this direct from Target reps. Odd that Target doesn’t say this on their web site! We wonder why.
Oh, perhaps it is Stork Craft’s less than stellar reputation for quality. And it seems the shotgun marriage between Dwell and Stork Craft may not be going so well—readers report the cribs seem to go in and out of stock on Target’s site.
And this reader reports her Dwell/Stork Craft crib order has been nothing but frustration:
I ordered the Dwell crib on Feb 7 with it shipping on Feb 13 to arrive between Feb 14 and 21. On 22nd, I still had not received the crib. I’ve spoken to Target customer service 3 times and each time they couldn’t find the crib and they supposedly ordered a replacement crib each time – which they have not. Now it is out of stock and they say they can’t find the one that supposedly shipped to me. Really frustrated as if we buy another crib from another source, it is 6-8 weeks. I
I agree. I ordered this crib the day it came out on January 28/29. It never arrived after I followed up at least five times. Customer service said the item was delayed, then couldn’t find the package, then said UPS had not picked up, and finally said they could not locate the package at their warehouse. To make things worse, they couldn’t send a replacement because they are out of stock. Now I have to find an alternate quickly. It is TERRIBLE!!

I also purchased the Dwell crib from Target in February. It was supposed to ship between Feb. 14-22. Having not received the crib by Feb. 24, I called Target. They sent out another one reimbursed me the shipping cost. It did arrive last Friday, as they had promised. I was disappointed to see that it said “StorkCraft” on the side of the box. I had read in Baby Bargains that this brand was not that hot. But, after my husband assembled it (it took about 2 hours and wasn’t too difficult), I officially fell in love with it. The mattress support is made of springs and metal bands. The crib is very sturdy too. According to my husband, the drawers seem much more cheaply made than the main crib. But, that doesn’t concern me too much. Overall, I am very pleased the the crib.

I have been pretty happy with my Storkcraft purchase. I have the Riley crib and it has been great. I love the storage drawer on the bottom, and the one handed drop side is really easy to operate.
