A reader send it this about the Venezia
today:

Dear Denise and
Alan,

I absolutely loved your Baby
Bargains book ! Scoured it cover and to

cover
and really appreciated the information provided by real life
moms

and dads. I had an issue w/my Perego
Venezia and wanted to share w/you in case you didn’t hear about this
one.

Per your great book, I purchased a
Perego for my urban lifestyle. We got

the
Venezia and absolutely love it! Worked terrific when baby was
newborn

– the carriage style was so chic and
perfect for when he was laying on his

back.
However, shortly after we converted it so that baby was riding in
a

sitting up position (around 5 month of age),
I noticed that the back

wheels (wheels closest
to the adult’s feet) were wearing unevenly.
Each

of the four wheels positions is actually a
double wheel and the ‘inner’

wheel was wearing
down quickly… to the point that the outer rear
wheels

weren’t even touching the ground. It
got nearly impossible to steer and I

feared
that my very expensive and beloved stroller would be kaput after
8

months of
use!

I took it to an authorized Peg
repair shop and was told that this

particular
model had some problems with the wheel design. It has
since

been corrected (mine was manufactured in
Dec 2003, it was late April 2005

when I took it
in). The repair shop guy said he’d seen several of them
in

the same shape as mine. Thankfully it was
(days) before my warranty

expired and they
replaced all four wheel pairs (with the new and
improved

wheels) for nothing. It rides like a
dream now!

Hope this information is
useful to other Venezia owners. I use
my

stroller daily and for lots and lots of
walking… not sure how long it

will take other
Venezia owners to show the same problem. If it
happens

after the warranty runs out, I’d say
they have a good cause to get some

free
wheels… as Perego has owned up to it as being a
flaw.

Best
regards,

A.J.
