What We Liked

• Great at light blocking.

• Nice, wide strap that is adjustable.

• No pressure on the eyes.

• Doesn’t tangle long hair.

• Memory foam around eye and nose.

• Includes travel pouch and set of earplugs.

What Needs Work

• Could work better for small faces. Yes, this mask works better for average and large faces.

• Elastic band can stretch out after several months of use.

• Pricey.

• Metal buckle on strap= not great for side sleepers. If that’s you, consider the next mask pick as a good alternative.

Best For Side Sleepers: Mavogel Cotton Sleep Eye Mask

Sleep masks work wonders, but many have a flaw: metal clasps on the band can be uncomfortable for those folks who sleep on their sides.

In our test of different sleep masks, we picked Mavogel’s cotton mask as the best bet for side sleepers. No metal clasp! And it is super soft.

What We Liked

• Very comfortable!

• Soft.

• Nose piece can be adjusted to fit your face.

• Doesn’t move around, thanks to triangle wing design.

• Made of 5 layers of cotton.

• Thick strap with buckle that is positioned away from the ears.

What Needs Work

• Doesn’t work well for small noses. 

• Can get hot.

• Doesn’t block light as well as the MZOO mask (recommended above), in our opinion.

Best Natural Silk Mask: Alaska Bear Natural Silk Sleep Mask

When we surveyed our readers about their favorite masks, we discovered there is a distinct group of folks who like silk sleep masks. These natural fabric masks are lightweight and comfortable.

• Light can leak from the bottom of the mask.
