Which is the best baby bottle drying rack? We took a dozen dirty baby bottles and tested several different drying racks to find what worked best. We looked at overall quality, cleanability and design. Here are the winners.

FYI: We've been reviewing and rating products for the home and families since 1994. To keep things independent, we don't take money or freebies from brands we review! Our work is 100% reader-supported!

Best Baby Bottle Drying Rack Overall: Boon Drying Rack Lawn

It’s cute. And functional. We tested a half dozen different solutions for drying baby bottles before settling on the Boon Drying Rack Lawn as the best bet. Here’s what we liked and didn’t:

Best Baby Bottle Drying Rack Boon accessories

What We Liked

• Doesn’t look ugly. The cute fake grass design holds bottles in the grass blades—and yes, it actually works well. Water drains into a removable tray below.

• Cute add-ons add functionality. Boon has gone a bit crazy adding a series of accessories that extend functionality by holding more items: a twig, bud, stem, stump, poke and butterfly. See picture above.

• Spin-offs. If space is at a premium on your countertop, Boon has two smaller spin-offs of their main rack: the Boon Sprig and Boon Patch. Both are smaller than the lawn but work in much the same way.

What Needs Work

• Not dishwasher-safe. This is an odd oversight—most bottle drying racks are dishwasher-safe . . . but Boon isn’t. And if you don’t remember to empty the drain tray, you will have a moldy mess here.

• Pricey. All the cute accessories are, well, cute—but can add up, price-wise.

Best High-Capacity Drying Rack: Munchkin High Capacity Drying Rack

Got lots of bottles to dry? We liked the Munchkin High Capacity Drying Rack for this job—the double-decker Lazy Susan has folding pegs to hold bottles and cups. It comes with a removable drip tray that can either catch water draining from the unit—or flip it over and it works as a drain into a sink.

In the real world, it worked well. Here are the pros and cons:

What We Liked

• Two levels = maximize drying space. We could put 16 bottles up there to dry at once, which was impressive.

• Easy to store. This drying rack collapses to store away. Plus it is affordable.

• Can drain into a sink. We liked how the Munchkin rack can drain into a tray or directly into a sink—if you have the room. That flexibility was a nice surprise.

What Needs Work

• Multiple parts—to lose. When collapsed, this rack has several parts . . . which will inevitably get lost, at least in our kitchen.

Fragile. If you weight it down with too many heavy bottles, it can break. Test it first.

• Bulky. This rack takes up a good amount of counter-space.

Best Space Ever

Holds up to 8 bottles
Compact, effective design and is dishwasher-safe. Takes up less counter space. Downside: hard to clean around tines.

Best Space-Saver: OXO Tot Bottle & Cup Cleaning Set

If your kitchen counter space is at a premium, we like this baby bottle drying rack plus brush from OXO Tot. At 14″ square, it doesn’t require that much room and worked well in our tests. Here’s what we liked and didn’t:

What We Liked

• Simple to use—little tines hold bottles and accessories. This rack is divided into two parts: the bigger part holds bottles while the smaller area has a small utensil cup and open space for smaller parts.

• Includes bottle brush.

Dishwasher-safe. Top rack only, however.

What Needs Work

• No drainage ramp. Water collects in the tray under this rack—and that will lead to a moldy mess if not cleaned frequently.

• Hard to clean between the tines. In our hands-on testing, dirt between the tines was a challenge to clean.

• Only holds 8 bottles. Well, that is the downside to a space-saving rack—it doesn’t hold as much as other racks.

Why Trust Us

We’ve been rating and reviewing products for the home and families since 1994. We do extensive research, evaluating products with an eye toward quality, ease of use and affordability. When we purchase a product for hands-on testing, we do so with our own money.

Here’s another key point: we don’t take money from the brands we review. No free samples, no sponsors, no “partnerships.” Our work is 100% reader-supported!
