Best Budget-Friendly: Sassy Baby Disposable Diaper Sacks

Let’s talk the best diaper trash bags.

These bags are designed for one diaper and are typically scented to reduce stink. Yes, while a few brands we tested said they can hold several diapers, the reality is most folks use them for one diaper at a time.

And yes, you can use these bags for both baby and adult diapers.

After testing these diaper trash bags in the real world, we pick Sassy’s Baby Disposable Diaper Sacks as the best budget-friendly option. We like their overall quality—the baby powder scent does a good job at reducing stink, at a price that is easy on the wallet.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

• Tie-close handles.

• Affordable.

• Can use them also for litter boxes, stained clothes that smell, adult diapers, vehicle trash can liners and more.

• Can fit about 6 baby diapers per bag. (Size 2 diapers was what we tested).

What Needs Work

• Some folks think the smell is too strong. We thought it was about right, but we know some folks may think it is too much.

• Too small for the largest diapers.

• Could be easier to remove them the box.

Best Scented Diaper Trash Bag: Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Refills

When it comes to scented diaper trash bags, there are two camps of folks: those that like the scent. And those that don’t.

If you are on the former, we’d recommend Munchkin’s Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag refills. Yes, these are lavender scented—and our testers like their overall quality and ability to hold down the stink. Not everyone is a fan of lavender, but the dissenters often said the scent was TOO weak with these bags. Go figure.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

 Sturdy.

• Handy while traveling.

• Lavender scent is nice.

• Different color bags (green, blue, purple).

• Bags are infused with baking powder. They performed well in our stink test.

What Needs Work

• Pricey.

• Requires use of the brand’s dispenser. Some users are confused by this—these bags do NOT work in the Arm & Hammer diaper pail, which uses refill cartridges. There are two separate Arm & Hammer products: their diaper pail, and their diaper bag dispenser.

• Bags could be easier to open.

Best Sturdy Diaper Trash Bag: Ubbi Disposable Diaper Sacks

One of the problems with cheap diaper trash bags is tearing—some are so flimsy, they can easily break open. And when  it comes to stinky diapers, that is sub-optimal.

After testing various brands, we pick Ubbi’s Disposable Diaper Sacks as the most sturdy choice. Also nice: they are made of 20% recycled material, which is unusual in this category.

What We Liked

• Don’t tear.

• Cute design.

• Affordable.

• Lavender scented.

• Easy tie tabs.

• Bags are NOT perforated = easier to grab.

What Needs Work

• Not everyone likes the scent.
