Best Nonstick: GreenLife Soft Grip Healthy Ceramic Nonstick Cookware Pots and Pans Set

Let’s talk red pots and pans sets!

Yes, many folks buy these sets for their aesthetic—and we agree, they look impressive.

But keep in mind these tips when purchasing a set of bright and shiny new red pots and pans:

• Nonstick doesn’t mean non-stain! This article focuses on affordable sets of pots and pans, most of which are made with non-stick ceramic coating. Be aware of some limitations, however. Pans with white interiors will easily stain, especially if you are caramelizing foods.

• Note the heat limitations. Many unhappy reports about pots and pans sets come from folks who use them on high heat—to sear meats, for example. However, many of these sets are only recommended for medium heat cooking. Look carefully at the instructions, as using high heat can damage the pretty red exteriors.

• Scratches can happen. The finish on red pots and pans are what folks love . . . but take care to avoid scratches. Don’t stack the pots/pans together. Only use nylon, wood or silicone utensils and clean with non-scratching pads.

One idea: if you are displaying these pots prominently on a pot rack in the center of your kitchen, consider buying a set just for show. That’s right, buy a set that you don’t cook with . . . just display. The truth is any set of pots and pans will get scuffed, scratched and discolor with lots of use. So cook with cookware you don’t mind getting roughed up!

For the best nonstick red pots and pans set, we pick GreenLife’s set as the best bet for most folks. We liked the light weight of these pans and pots . . . plus they are easy to clean. This one is a reader favorite and we agree: they offer good bang for the buck.
