In the past month, Dorel (parent of Cosco, Quinny, Maxi Cosi) rolled out two new Babies R Us exclusive strollers, under the Maxi Cosi brand.
The first is the Foray ($299), a Quinny-ish model that features a reversible seat, telescoping handle, weather/rain shield, sun canopy and cup holder.
The Foray takes a cue from the Quinny Buzz, but has a different front frame (a u-shape with two front wheels).
The Maxi Cosi Perle ($150) is a two-handled stroller (a la the Pliko) with umbrella fold, storage basket and reflective trim.
Both the Foray and Perle work with the Maxi Cosi Mico infant seat (which BRU has for the price of $150).
By branding these strollers Maxi Cosi, Dorel seems to be reserving the Quinny brand for specialty stores (and higher price points). While BRU and Toys R Us sell Quinny online, the brand doesn’t appear in their stores.
We missed reviewing these strollers in our book, as they came out after we went to press. We hope to see them shortly and offer a full review.

I’ve played with both at BRU. We are prospective parents and were doing a little “recon” at BRU when a WONDERFUL saleswoman helped guide us. She steered us to these and we fell in love. Both my husband and I really liked the way they felt, moved, folded, etc. We aren’t owners yet so we’ll see how they do but they are our picks, and much cheaper than the Quinny I was initially looking for.

i bought the maxi cosi perle yesterday. actually i want to buy chicco trevi and chicco carseat and make it a travel system, but when we saw the perle & maxi cosi mico carseat, we instantly fell in love with it. the carseat was slightly lighter than other brand’s carseat, and the perle stroller when folded was smaller than chicco trevi, and lighter too. the cons is, perle didnt have a child snack tray.
I have done allot of research and I went to tonight to try out the maxi cosi Foray and I have to say Im in love the seat is huge unlke most reversibles with tiny seats and the stroage bag zips u so no worries about purses being stollen and it pushed like a dream and it looks even better in person needless to say Im going back to get it !!! It holds up to 55 pounds unlike the 40 most strollers cut off at

My husband and I have narrowed down our stroller choices based on travel systems with the air rear tires and so after looking at Bugaboo, Orbit, and the Skate, we were psyched to see the Foray at BRU. We were really disappointed, though, when we started demo-ing it, because the handle had too much play and overall it just didn’t seem as solid as the others we are considering. What really killed it for us was when I looked at the NHTSA website for Ease of Use ratings for car seats (the greatest car seats won’t work if they aren’t in properly) and saw that the Maxi Cosi infant seat only got two stars overall.
BTW–Looks like we are going with the Orbit. It was the only one in that group that would sit a toddler car seat on the frame, not just a toddler seat. We travel A LOT, so that was a big deal to us (one less thing to pack). And the Orbit car seat base makes proper installation very easy–now we won’t worry when grandma or babysitter put the car seat in their car (visible dial shows when base is in tightly).
