Reader Emmy A. writes in today with a critique of her Bugaboo Donkey stroller:
I purchased the Donkey in May when my oldest was 19 months and youngest just newly born. It is now March and my now 29 month old can no longer be strapped in to the stroller. The crotch strap and harness straps have been extended fully. My son is 30 pounds and 37 inches. He’s on the skinny side. I called Bugaboo and complained and they said there is nothing they can do unless they get the same complaint from thousands of customers. I asked them if their design team can make the straps bigger for my seat and make some kind of extension to my straps. Bugaboo said they can’t do any of the above and all I got was an apology. The supervisor told me that maybe it’s not the straps and that it’s because my son doesn’t want to sit in the stroller. Furthermore, they have horrible wheels!
To address the bugaboo comment … is not that yur kid is skinny .. There are alot that play a roll in the bugaboo like height not soo much the weight … maybe the kid is to tall … or the kid may have to many layer of clothes on which is a common problem with carseats and strollers … btw the wheels are not bad … just dont over pump them .. because the ride is,no of the best ride out there as a double stroller…
Almost forgot plz do yur research when it comes with double strollers cuz there are more cons then pros soo your already gettin something bulky and big … and remember that if the pros doesn’t out weight the cons then dont get it .. my last tip when shoppin for a double stroller plz focus more on the older child because is the older child that out grows it not the younger one … btw the donkey is one of the best strollers out there ….
